01

Hotel Corazón, Sóller

Hotel Corazón is a haven for wild alchemy. It's a Mallorca luxury hotel for a new generation of travellers who want to be barefoot, swim in the sea at night and get lost in the pines.
Created by renowned fashion photographer Kate Bellm and her husband, artist Edgar Lopez Arellano, the hotel is nestled in a stunning landscape between Sóller and Deià, amidst the mountains and the sea. Hotel Corazón features 2 suites and 13 superior and double rooms, each adorned with artworks and custom-made furniture crafted by local artisans. The view from the hotel, overlooking the mountains of the Sierra de Tramuntana, is priceless. Guests can enjoy several common spaces, including an internal patio, a gallery, a beautiful bar and a restaurant (open also to the public). Not to mention the incredible swimming pool area with stunning sea views, perfect for enjoying a romantic sunset.

Casa Balandra, Portol

Casa Balandra is a creative residency and guest house, designed to share, create, and celebrate conviviality by involving passionate individuals from the fields of cooking, art, and design. This space is carefully curated by a diverse community, resulting in a truly unique environment.

The Casa can host up to six artists per residency, bringing together creatives from different fields to encourage an open exchange of ideas and work. This 6-room property features a large kitchen, dining room, living room, garden with a swimming pool, and 6 shared studio spaces.

From the 9th to the 13th of July, 2024, they are hosting the Casa Fest, four days of activities celebrating art, music, food, and community. You can join for lunch, aperitivo, or dinner. Purchase your ticket here: Casa Balandra Shop.

I was there last year for dinner during Casa Fest. I loved the concept, the atmosphere and I also met lovely inspiring people. Discover their Instagram page too.

Neuendorf House, Santanyí

An architectural masterpiece by renewed architects Claudio Silvestrin and John Pawson, this vacation home embodies a minimalist aesthetic that seamlessly integrates with the natural beauty of its surroundings.

The house features a spacious courtyard, multiple terraces, and a pool. Inside, white walls, light tile floors, and carefully selected wood furnishings define the minimalist style of the house. Famous design pieces, such as the iconic CH24 | Wishbone Chair by Carl Hansen & Son, enhance the interiors.

The strategic cuts in the facade are designed to interact with the bright Mediterranean sunlight, creating geometric shadows. Windows enhance this effect, casting dynamic patterns of light and shadow on the interior walls too.
